Recently I've visited Wilko in the hopes I would find outstanding home decor (and by that I mean Halloween for some, regular home decor for myself) and stopped by the Essence counter... I came out with 25£ worth of products that I surely didn't need but wanted to try... so here's the summary of what I'm adding to my collection!
Long time no see, I know, shall I even mention?! Who knows in an upcoming post I write a life update. Onto new and exciting beauty stuff! Essence! You know this was the first brand being featured on the blog and many years before I used it non stop. Quality definitely improved and the trends are being followed, as expected!
Highlighting the inner corner might just be one of my favourite things in the world of makeup! I just love the effect it gives and as a colour lover I don't only use creams and whites!
Hopefully you'll be inspired to add up some colour to your inner corner as you know some of my favourite shadows to do so!
With Spring upon us I can totally rock my flower headband and bright pink lipstick with no excuse! I for sure am a girl of dark bold makeup but couldn't resist the sunshine asking for the bright yet wearable look!
To add to the fun I decided I would just reach for affordable products, which proves once more the drugstore brands are upping their game and no need for more expensive makeup to reach a fresh yet fun makeup look!

Essence is getting bigger here in the UK which makes me very happy since it was one of the first makeup brands I tried a few years ago! It has hits and misses like every other brand but for the price, most of their releases are phenomenal!
I'm not usually a girl of pinks, and I honestly can't justify the amount of pink lip liners I own, but in a good way, most of them are drugstore which makes me feel a tad bit better!
I'm trying to get out of the comfort zone, even thou it is a hard thing to do when you love your vampy shades all year around, but still, I can always try!
A couple of months ago I got my hands on the Vice 4 palette and I wrote a review on it, putted together a look and you never heard about it ever since... well, that's about to change!
I decided to go for the greens that tend to scare some people and create a simple look with them that you can wear for a hang out with friends or even to a party!
I usually start on the crease and as the Vice 4 doesn't really have many of transition colours, that I actually like, I went for the Makeup Geek eyeshadows in Frappe and Cocoa Bear mixed together, intensifying them with a bit of Delete from V4.
On the lids I went for C-Note and followed it with Arctic on the outer corner. To put it all together I mixed Grassttopper and C-Note on the lower lash line adding the Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in I Have a Green combined with the Gosh Velvet Touch Liner in I Sea You to my waterline.
To give a hint of light to my inner corners I went for the Essence Eyeshadow in 06 Pippa Mint!
Lastly for the wing I used Kiko Precision Liner finishing the look with Rimmel Super Curler Mascara and Eylure Naturalites False Lashes!
I hope this look inspires you to add some greens to your makeup, if you're too scared start by adding a green pencil to the waterline, it will make a good difference to a natural look without the out of comfort zone feeling!

Drugstore, or High Street, is the best place to find new gems every now and then without hurting our bank accounts! For the past few weeks I've been collecting a few products that I wanted to own whether for the hype or simply curiosity to try them!
Needless to say I got me way too much than I actually needed... and you can expect a NYX haul very soon... followed by the Kiko... and I should probably stop shopping!!
My first picks where from Boots as they always have amazing deals, I got me the Bourjois Java Rice Powder, that is so famous for its glow, and a blush in 48 Cendre De Rose Brune that I must say is stunning in shade but a bit over scented to my taste, it has a nice colour pay off as you can see for the swatch and gives the cheeks a natural flush for those days I don't want to think about a colour to pick!
The L'oreal counter was filled with this brand new mascara - False Lash Sculpt Mascara - that I should say is great for mega full lashes but you have to be careful to not overload them in product and not hit your nose/inner corner with it, as I always end up doing... A bit tricky and different wand that I was curious to try, it became one of my favourites for the days I definitely have time to be there and build it up! Alongside it I grabbed the L'oreal Infallible 24h Lip Colour in the shade 113 Invincible Sable that I wanted for ages! It's a nude shade and it goes nowhere, and it's not as scented as their normal lipsticks that I totally avoid!
Finally I got me one of the Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Hustle 4, I've used it once so far and love it to give extra glow to my inner corners!
Out of Boots and in Superdrug territory I went for the Gosh Intense Eyeliner Pen in Grey and Blue, both colours super pigmented and very different from what I already own! The Grey is to die for, I love it so much, the Blue is between an electric and a navy shade, it's definitely a gorgeous option not to talk about the tip of the pen, it's thin and flexible super easy to use! I would definitely recommend it if you love pen eyeliners, they have more shades in the line such as the classic black or a brown!
Last but not least, a quick visit to Wilko made me come home with two more of the Essence Long Lasting Pencils in the shades 09 Cool Down - a true blue that I love for my waterline - 12 I Have A Green - a shimmery forest green that looks lovely with a soft brown eyeshadow look! I've been loving these Essence pencils for as long as I started wearing makeup and their black one is my favourite for the waterline as it stays put and is super pigmented!
What have you been picking up lately at the drugstore?
I am finally publishing this look, I may have done it like 2 months ago, and as it didn't seem much appropriate for Autumn, in a generalist way, I decided it would be great for winter, and the best part is all using drugstore products!
To create this look I used the Essence All About Greys Eyeshadow palette that is, as it seems, full of grey toned shadows and includes white and black! Composed by 8 eyeshadows whereas 4 are cool toned and the other 4 more on the warmer tone, for this look I used the first row - white on the inner corner and inner part of the lid, a hint of the light silver all over the lid, followed by the dark grey on the crease blended and finally a hint of black to enhance the crease!
On the lower lash line I have the dark grey mixed with the silver, completing the look with the Rimmel Scandeleyes Waterproof Gel Liner in Navy!
I love how this look turned out and already wore it twice, which is not a usual thing for me! The blue eyeliner complements the grey tones so well that makes my brown eyes pop and be all excited for winter and snow and all!!! You sure could pull this off on Christmas day it would perfectly go well with a mauve pink lip!
Thanks for reading,
Blush has taken all over my routine!! How unexpected! I've never been a girl of blush-y cheeks I just thought it wouldn't make a whole lot of a GOOD difference! But well, it does and this happened!
I'm more of a mauve or berry blush kinda gal, bright pinks don't do much for me and even thou the natural shades are also a favourite these are my picks for the season!
Fall is here, shall I say finally? I love fall, the warm coloured leaves that fall in the ground, the rainy days with a cup of teat at home and of course Halloween!
It's my first Fall/Winter in England and to be honest I'm a bit scared as I heard it can be really freezing sometimes, but still I can't let that ruin my makeup!
In the spirit of a new season here's a collection of eyeliners that will transform any rainy day!

Back in 2009, when Essence was introduced to me, I felt like I was in makeup heaven. Since then I've been loyal to the brand and very excited about new launches! Quality has been improved and compared to those days I can say I try less but what I get I love.
I sure need to create a post on how I achieve my makeup looks but since I have one talking about my creative process you can find everything you need to know for now in here.
As for the usual part I love me a good forest green shade problem is I always seem to put them aside for no apparent reason. We're right in the middle of summer time where you expect to be wearing all sort of bright colours but we can always find a place for the deep tones! On a night out or an event to match all those Greek Goddesses inspired looks ol' gold is a must!
With my MUA Undress Me Too palette I felt inspired to use the 6th shade of the top row - an old gold colour as I can only describe it! Super intense pigment that contrasts amazingly with that deep green from Sleek Storm palette! On my inner corner I felt the need for some light so Catrice Liquid Metal eyeshadow in 010 made a good point! The lower lash line mimics the top but this time with a Smoky Pencil in 02 by Kiko. As for the waterline my Rimmel Scandaleyes in 005 Nude completed the entire look giving a hint of something without being too much! I think. The mascara I'm using here is the Essence Get Big Lashes Waterproof if you're wondering.
Overall I really like how this look turned out and will for sure wear it a lot this upcoming months!
What do you think? Will you rock some greens or stick to the nudes?
Yes, looks like I did it. An enormous makeup haul... wait to see all the new skincare bits as well. Sometime later on!
Now, excuse nr 1 it's my birthday month, excuse nr2 my wishlist needed to be empty for a while, (as if it was even possible).
Starting with my wishlist products, L'oreal True Match foundation (9,99£) was there for the longest time, maybe a year or so? I know, it's not even expensive is just I have 3 more foundations at use now and didn't find the time good for a new one. Well, I gave in and for a first impression I'm in love. Review will come sooner or later you know that! Still from L'oreal I bought the Brow Artist Plumper (5,99£), a Color Riche Matte Lipstick (6,99£) in the shade 640 Erotique and finally the so raved Miss Manga Mascara (8,99£).
Boots deals are the best so Revlon is with 2 for 10£ in all lip products and since I've been dying to try a few of their lipstick choices I came home with 2 shades for the upcoming Fall, Super Lustrous Lipstick (7,99£) in 477 Black Cherry & 663 Va Va Violet!
On a buy 1 get 1 half price I finally got my hands on the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner (3,99£) in 063 Eastend Snob and to complete the offer why not another new brow gel? Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel (3,99£) came home in the shade 002 Medium Brown.
Seventeen is new to my collection and after hearing so many good things about their Stay Time Concealer (4,49£) I decided to give ago. Since at Boots they're having a 2 for 8£ deal why not try their Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter (5,99£)? It is stunning!!!!
At last I grabbed a Barry M lip pencil (2,99£), also new brand to my collection, in the shade 11 which goes very well with 663 Va Va Violet Revlon lipstick!
From Wilko I got an Essence eyeshadow (1,60£) that I've been loving on my inner corners lately 06 Pippa Mint!
Last but not least I got a bargain at Poundland! You sure need to stop by your nearest as they have amazing makeup products there at what? 1£ each of course! I was very lucky to spot these Rimmel Gel Liners (usually 6,99£ but on offer at Boots for 4,99£) and got the shade 005 Emerald from the Kate collection -stunning shade by the way- and 004 Blue! I can't believe how cheap they were!!
Seems like I reached the end of the list for now! Stay tuned for upcoming reviews or featuring posts in the near future! Looks promising ;)
Which drugstore products you recommend?
Thanks for reading,

Blue eyeliners seem to be my favourite as the collection keeps growing to the level of a focus post on MB! Why Blue? It makes brown eyes pop and can be worn with loads of colour combinations in many different ways!
From navy to sky blue here's my collection of pencil liners that I love to wear on a day to day basis. Hopefully you'll find one to suit your taste!
Top to Bottom
Kiko Glamorous Eye Pencil 409 / Catrice Longlasting Eye pencil waterproof 090 Petrol and the Wolf / Essence Longlasting Eye pencil 17 Tu-Tu-Touqouise / Kiko Smart Eye Pencil 813 - 807 - 809 - 810 -806
A few weeks ago I went to Portugal to visit my family and friends and of course I couldn't miss out on some products from Catrice, a well loved brand that doesn't sell in the UK.
As a huge fan of Catrice quality products and friendly prices I sure went a bit excited and got way too many products home! #sorrynotsorry
First things first! Finally I got my hands on the so famous Mary-Lou Manizer and I'm so thankful I did! It's brilliant and lives up to all the hypes! I also got me some new Essence brushes that will be reviewed soon!
As for Catrice I got a back up of my favourite face powder the Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof, an Illuminating Blush in and two new concealers.
Eye makeup is my favourite, no doubts! Catrice mascaras are simply amazing for the price tag and I sure needed to get at least two! Lacking on the brow gel department I decided to give Catrice one a go and I'm truly impressed. Liquid Metal eyshadows have been on my wishlist for the longest time ever but I never got to buy them until now! Oh my! Essence Long Lasting Eye pencil in Black Fever is by far my favourite drugstore black liner for the waterline so I decided to get a few more shades that will be featured on a post soon!
The lip department was not my cup of tea at the time so I only got one lipstick by Essence new Nude range in number 5 stunning shade and as per usual amazing quality for the price!
Can't wait to feature all this products in future posts!

18 All I Need
Essence is a brand I know for 5 years now which gives me an experience I don't have with other brands. For the past years I've seen the brand grow, become better in quality and range making it all a big difference. As far as I know they've been replacing some of their old products to better ones giving me the hint of curiosity on how the new ones compare to the old ones.
We've all been there, that limited edition that caught our attention filled our hearts with love and came home to be used with the most careful hand. Yes I'm talking about that product you and only a few have on their drawers clamming a different spotlight. How many of us wished for some products to not have an end? I always asked myself why limited editions have to be the best ones, coming out with better packaging ideas, product texture and quality as it only has a limited time to be sold. Smart guys behind them is the answer.
My top 5 products that I wish were made permanent come in an affordable way and carry true love within them.
Blue moon, so convenient! I honestly don't know where my creativity name room is placed on my brain but the little man taking care of it should sometimes do a better job!
And I can hear you all saying "another makeup look?!" I don't seem to get bored #sorrynotsorry and let's be real you surely can take some inspiration out of this, don't you?
