Remember my Spending Ban post a few days ago? I'm still going strong and before it even started I donated a bag (almost) full of products to a friend that also loves makeup!
I'm a strong believer that if it's good it can go to someone else {aka the person who also loves makeup as much as I do} so I decided to pull out a few things I had in my collection and didn't touch for a while, didn't work or where wrong shade for me!
Eyeshadow is actually the hardest for me as they don't expire as easily and I love playing with them, the thing is I own far too many and I've been getting loads of palettes recently which brings me to the point I don't use loads of other things.
Rosy shades are not my favourite but the friend I gifted them to actually owns the Naked 3 and uses it a lot so she will probably love these more than I ever did!
Also loads of singles that I already have in other palettes are going as I don't grab them as much as I'd like to, yes a Colour Tatoo included, I honestly don't like cream shadows that much!
You can see that from here. Most of my stick shadows are going, I'm keeping 5 that I actually use but all of these have no space in my collection and I don't even remember the last time I grabbed them! Eyeliners I have 2 that I used probably twice and they're still good so why keep something I don't use instead of giving it to someone who will?
I don't have a photo of the lipsticks I donated but there were two pinks one bright and one baby pink, both barely touched! I'm not a huge fan of straight on pinks rather use a mauve or a vampy shade!
Last but not least I have some face products. The L'oreal foundation is too dark for me, which is a shame I was so interested in using it! I hope it suits my friend better because it's 99% full! Also my Fit Me Concealer, it oxidizes badly on my skin and even thou it's the 010 it's too dark! I heard the shade 15 is good for fair people when I finish all my concealers I may give that one a try!
Blushes are growing like no other thing in my collection I started with 4 and now I have loads! I decided to pass on the ones I was not using as much, all of them pinky shades! Lastly I have a brow gel that is quite good but doesn't match me too well!
These were all the things I gave away I also have things that are going to the bin but I'll save them for an empties post later on! I hope this encourages you to take a look around your collection, it is always better to pass on than let it expire!

Even thou Mac is a very popular brand among the beauty community, it never really appealed to me.
That lasted a couple of years and after my first try on their lipticks I stepped away!
To my very first impression the lipstick was a total miss, on shade, being that my fault, but also on texture and longevity for the price.
A couple months ago I decided to give it another try and get the Paint Pot in Soft Ocre that everyone and their sisters rave about, I regret nothing, but still I'm not completely sold to the brand.
My collection is growing as I'm trying new products here and there, mostly bought on duty free so I can excuse the price if I don't get along with my choice, so I decided to bring it to you an overall view of it!
After what seems like 3 hours and 75 triangles on my face I ended up with this look, if you want me to tell you why I simply don't have a reason!
I just got inspired by a book and decided to do something different with my eye makeup which at the end resulted on a not expected full on face, ears and neck paint!
In a way I just did it all very randomly the only thing I had in mind was a transition like from dark to light but not the vulgar way of doing black to white stuff, and also I wanted to use the triangles somehow!
I decided gold would suit this look well in the way of sharing the power of a (not so) bare face contrasting with the cold shattered purple and blue! I just like to experiment, I don't really sit down and think about a subject or make up a character on a face chart... I just pull stuff out of my drawers and let my hands do what they want in my face! Sounds weird after saying it but I just can't really come here and say 'oh I always plan my looks, this one represents a shattered glass of a profound coldness that gave up to the warmth and lustre of the gold" sounds good in a way but no, it just happened to be like this and I wanted to share it with you!
One thing I love doing on my not so wearable looks is different makeup on both sides of my face, I love transition of colours, even if they don't compliment or contrast each other, I know colour theory I just don't think much, as I already said, about what I'm really doing, I don't have something planned so it's hard to know what the end result can be. I love the fact I can create different designs and play in different areas at the same time!
This look has a very luminous base, I can say I used more liquid highlight than actual foundation and loads of an illuminating eyeshadow all over the face, in the end I quite liked the result and even thou I'm not the best at posing for photography I still got a decent shot of what it looked like!
By the way, I just came home from work, I'm extremely tired but decided it was good to spend the rest of my afternoon playing with makeup, I want to get better each day, I admire this kind of makeup so much that I ambition to have my own photoshoots one day and be able to create outstanding looks... the key to get there is mostly practice, find new techniques and above all be as creative as possible! I'm just starting to get it more out, usually I focus more on eye makeup than anything else but I want to do full on face makeup, costumes and even prosthetics if I'm that adventurous!
This is a way I found to express my love for makeup and its endless uses, I've done some of these before last year so I'll list them here if you're curious to see them!
If you're interested on the products I used here's the list:

Drugstore, or High Street, is the best place to find new gems every now and then without hurting our bank accounts! For the past few weeks I've been collecting a few products that I wanted to own whether for the hype or simply curiosity to try them!
Needless to say I got me way too much than I actually needed... and you can expect a NYX haul very soon... followed by the Kiko... and I should probably stop shopping!!
My first picks where from Boots as they always have amazing deals, I got me the Bourjois Java Rice Powder, that is so famous for its glow, and a blush in 48 Cendre De Rose Brune that I must say is stunning in shade but a bit over scented to my taste, it has a nice colour pay off as you can see for the swatch and gives the cheeks a natural flush for those days I don't want to think about a colour to pick!
The L'oreal counter was filled with this brand new mascara - False Lash Sculpt Mascara - that I should say is great for mega full lashes but you have to be careful to not overload them in product and not hit your nose/inner corner with it, as I always end up doing... A bit tricky and different wand that I was curious to try, it became one of my favourites for the days I definitely have time to be there and build it up! Alongside it I grabbed the L'oreal Infallible 24h Lip Colour in the shade 113 Invincible Sable that I wanted for ages! It's a nude shade and it goes nowhere, and it's not as scented as their normal lipsticks that I totally avoid!
Finally I got me one of the Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Hustle 4, I've used it once so far and love it to give extra glow to my inner corners!
Out of Boots and in Superdrug territory I went for the Gosh Intense Eyeliner Pen in Grey and Blue, both colours super pigmented and very different from what I already own! The Grey is to die for, I love it so much, the Blue is between an electric and a navy shade, it's definitely a gorgeous option not to talk about the tip of the pen, it's thin and flexible super easy to use! I would definitely recommend it if you love pen eyeliners, they have more shades in the line such as the classic black or a brown!
Last but not least, a quick visit to Wilko made me come home with two more of the Essence Long Lasting Pencils in the shades 09 Cool Down - a true blue that I love for my waterline - 12 I Have A Green - a shimmery forest green that looks lovely with a soft brown eyeshadow look! I've been loving these Essence pencils for as long as I started wearing makeup and their black one is my favourite for the waterline as it stays put and is super pigmented!
What have you been picking up lately at the drugstore?
Blush has taken all over my routine!! How unexpected! I've never been a girl of blush-y cheeks I just thought it wouldn't make a whole lot of a GOOD difference! But well, it does and this happened!
I'm more of a mauve or berry blush kinda gal, bright pinks don't do much for me and even thou the natural shades are also a favourite these are my picks for the season!
It is no surprise I've been obsessed with lipsticks lately and if you though I would stop in the Fall Lipstick Wardrobe Take 2 you were very wrong! ;)
So Nudes, I have always been obsessed with nudes, in fact my favourite lipstick is guess what... a nude! But talking more pinkish tones I have not been crazy about them till recently which leaves me very impressed with myself!
Even so, these pink lipsticks are very wearable not straight up neon pink on the lips which makes me a bit more comfortable when wearing them out there!

| Maybelline 930 Nude Embrace | Rimmel 200 It's a Keeper | Jordana 05 Matte Classy | Jordana o4 Matte Tease | Sephora 13 |
First comes the nude and this is the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick which looks like a brownish colour on the swatches but stays fabulous on the lips! It has the nicest formula out of the matte lipsticks I own and wears for a pretty decent time throughout the day! What I love the most is to pair it with different lip liners and create different shades!
On the Pink department I got me this Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick that has a super comfortable formula where the shade is in between a bright and muted pink colour that I can't really describe! It looks amazing on the lips and lasts fairly long!
Next to the game I have Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks that are amazing in formula, colour pay off and comfort at wear, being the first a a mauve kind of shade that I love unconditionally and the second a more daring pink that I surprisingly like a lot on my lips!

Last but never least is my most favourite liquid lipstick out of the ones I own and girl how I regret not getting more!! Sephora Cream Lip Stain has an amazing staying power, colour pay off and is so so so comfortable on the lips!! The shade I picked was the 13 a very deep mauve pink shade that gives any look a hint of life! It has a stunning formula and colour and I hope Sephora comes out with more shades as they were more on the redish side where I got mine!
Overall, the Fall is not only made of dark vampy lips but also the nudes and the pinks! I love every lipstick here and as the top one I have Sephora and Maybelline choices but with all my honesty the 5 are worth the money and all very affordable if you're wondering!
Do you have a favourite nude for the Fall?
Thanks for reading,
Well, another lipstick post! Guess what... I've been obsessed with Fall Lipsticks lately, and as if it was not reason enough Boots also came up with NYX online!! I had to get my hands on 2 lip creams I've been wanting for the longest time!!
Where do I start? If you're looking for the perfect Fall shade you sure can find it here! From Urban Decay After Dark to Wet N Wild Cherry Bomb my Fall Lipstick wardrobe is full of burgundies, plums and violets!
If you've been here for a good time you already know I love calligraphy and since I'm more into typography each day I decided to show a little bit of what I have!
My ink collection started in late 2010 when I got into my Art course and since then it has been growing, quite a lot I must say!
I use ink to draw and paint, not only to write, that's the main reason I have so many colours. I love trying new brands and comparing the quality so here's what I have in my art box!
Here comes the Fall -uhuh!! As a dark lip lover I couldn't wait more for its time to come, even if I wear plum lips all year long!
Summer is over and I am struggling to find a good coat for a new winter but apart from all that Halloween is near (who else loves halloween decorations?) and everyone is starting to pull out some vampy shades! To celebrate this new season I decided to bring you a Fall Lip Wardrobe featuring all kinds of vampy shades that I sure love!
With a ever so growing collection of fall lipsticks I sure have some more by this time if you wonder, which will be featured in future posts, but for now here is what I expect to wear during this fall!
Top 3 favourites go to Kiko Unlimited Stylo 12, Maybelline Color Drama 310 and Revlon Colorburst 215, being them all matte and long lasting, easy to apply and maintain throughout the day, even thou they last amazingly well on the first application.
If you're more about the reds I highly suggest trying the Topshop Beguiled one as it is a very deep and beautiful red with a satin finish. The only thing I don't enjoy much about this lipstick is how time consuming it is. I find it very slippery and need to use a lip liner and lip brush with it even after that it can get messy if not careful. It transfers a lot and requires high maintenance which puts me off wearing it more often! Apart from that the colour is beautiful and it feels comfortable on the lips.
A close dupe in colour to my favourite Kiko 12 is the Rimmel Lasting Finish in 120 Cutting Edge as you can see by the swatches they look identical! In real life the Rimmel one is a tiny bit darker and formula is not comparable in some points! It is highly fragranced so sniff it before buying it if you're sensitive to scents. Rimmel 120 has a satin finish whereas the Kiko one is matte, even thou they both look amazing on the lips!
I seem to get alike shades all the time and by any means I do it on purpose! The Maybelline Color Drama in 310 comes close to the Revlon Super Lustrous in 477, in photo! If you swatch them together in real life you'll notice the Maybelline one has more purple undertones and is a matte finish while the Revlon has more red to it and is a satin finish! It is a matter of preference in this case but I love both!
Recently I did a post on matte lipsticks where I talk about the Sleek Fandango Purple and the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms so take a look here if you want to hear more about those!
Lastly I have the 2 darkest shades of my collection, that I intend to expand, being them Revlon Colorburst in 215 Shameless and Revlon Super Lustrous in 663 Va Va Violet, both from the same family these two purples differ a lot from each other whether it is in finish as the first is a matte and the second a satin, but also in longevity and undertones. Shameless is way more purpl-y pink than Va Va Violet that has more of an aubergine tone to it. I would love this one more if it was matte as the colour takes a bit of time to build up on the lips but still gives a beautiful shade of purple vampy lips for this fall!
Now that you took a look into my Fall Lip Wardrobe share with me all your favourite Fall shades!
Thanks for reading,
Real Techniques needs no presentations so let's focus on the matter. A brush collection from the brand. Since I've moved to the UK it has been easier to get my hands on the brand products as they don't sell in stores in Portugal just online, and the prices are a bit out of mind. Since I'm here for a good time now I decided to finally grab some of the brushes I've been wanting to try for ages!
For a makeup junkie most of the times I stick my madness to the drugstore reason 1) I just started working a few months ago prior to that the only money I had were from Birthday and Christmas gifts 2) luxury makeup is super expensive and I definitely need to keep money for other things in life.
Apart from all reasons I still manage to have a quite decent amount of high end makeup and that's why I'm about to share with you today.
For the last of the Summer Inspired Look series I have a full face on and an Urban Decay Eyeliner in a super beautiful teal colour! Hope this look inspires you to wear some colour!
The world of eyeliners is more versatile than the socks in your room! I finally reduced my collection to 4 eyeliners, different textures and applicators that can make a difference when applying them! As you can see from the image above I have 3 different 'brushes' and one gel liner than can be used with any kind of eyeliner brush giving me various looks and improving my skills on the liner world.
Fall is already here and we all know that's the time to change some bits and pieces! Lipsticks have been one of my addictions for the past months and at this time I end up grabbing more of my nudes or darker shades!
I leave you with my options for this season ;)
Nudes are always right, no matter the season, the month, the weather, the outfit, they just go well with everything and that's why I have a bit of a collection when it takes to this shades!

As promised here's part 2 of my Catrice Eyeshadow Collection!

1- 280 Heidi Plum
1- 280 Heidi Plum
2- 280 Heidi Plum (Both shades have the same name)
3- 250 Swimming With Dolphins

Here comes the purple land!
No need to say I'm obsessed with purple eyeshadows and since then I need to have some particular shades such as this deep purple almost grey. It's a gorgeous matte color to use on the crease and adds depth to every purple look!
Ohh the middle shade... oh my, one of my all time favorites.. full of sparkle, gorgeous aubergine color! It's just a must and I love to use it all over the lid or on the crease!
Finally another grey, this time with some sparkles on it. Gorgeous shade to wear all over the lid or as transition color.
1- 440 Ice Wide Open
2- 330 I Think I've Green You Before
3- 190 Petrol Keeps Me Running
From now on all the shadows are shimmery so if enjoy those you're going to like it!
Blue is one of my favorite colors and this one as the name reminds, it's like an Ice blue, full of light and coldness! It's a super gorgeous shade to wear all over the lid!
Whenever I wear this green shade I always think about mermaids and the sea, don't ask me why but it's a beautiful green with silver and gold sparkles.
Lastly a darker green with loads of golden shimmers completes the collection and I love to use it as transition shade!
1- 510 In Love With Hulk
2- 600 Blackwood Forest
3- 390 Top Of The Cops
The green family is not over yet, Hulk is a good reference to the green you're contemplating now, light vivid green with silver sparkles makes any eyelid pops!
Since darker colors are also one of my favorites to wear this Forest green could not be missing in my collection and it's described as a deep green with goldish sparkles.
Last but not least a navy blue to add, gorgeous in a smoky eye or as transition color! One of my favorites and as always a marvelous pigmentation and texture!
My collection has came to an end and as you can see I have a good family of colors that at some point look similar but are so different when applied to the eye lids.
Catrice is one of my favorite brands and I recommend their eyeshadows if you're looking for different, cheap and good quality ones!
Thanks for reading,
Some weeks ago I did a post where I showed you my Kiko Makeup Milano Eyeshadow Collection and since I have even more from Catrice why not share them as well?!
So here's all the eyeshadows I own, at the moment, from this well-loved brand!
No surprise that Catrice is one of those brands that built my makeup collection, and so well. The quality according to price is beyond amazing and when I have 15 eyeshadows you can't tell me I'm wrong. Why do I have so many single eyeshadows when the palettes can be cheaper?! It's a simple answer, only 1 of the eyeshadows below was full price, the others I bought in sales for 2 for 1 or half of price. Sounds pretty good right?
Each eyeshadow retails for 3,49€ which is a really good price and Catrice launches new shades every Season and of course in Limited Collections as well. (Stop Talking)
1- 060 I Love Champagne
2- 100 Welcome to Miami Peach
3- 270 Grey's Philosophy
As you can see the shadows are really pigmented, keep in mind I don't have a primer underneath any of the swatches. Some are very chalky as you can confirm for the first one but it's supposed to be a sheer color and not so pigmented. I use it most of the times to highlight my inner corner. It has golden sparkles to it.
The peachy shade I love to use all over the lid it also has some sparkles in silver.
The 3rd shade, a matte greyish color, also one of my most worn on the eyelid, specially with a black smoky eye.
1- 050 The Nobel Knights
2- 120 My Souvenir From Moon
3- 080 Go, Charlie Brown!
Here comes the browns! And Sparkles! As you have already noticed I have a deep love for matte eyeshadows but also for shimmery pots! I just think they add something different to eyes!
First shade I usually describe it as old gold with silver sparkles and it's what it is.. nothing more nothing less. Such beautiful colour and one of my favorites!
Sparkly browns are a staple in everyone's collection and as weird as it sounds its not one that I tend to grab.. I love brown eyeshadows but this particular one has too much shimmer to be used as an usual brown, if you know what I mean.
And here's the only one I payed full price.. You ask me why and I tell you, because I know this one is not going to be discontinued so easily so I won't have the opportunity to buy it on sales.
It's a medium dark brown, a staple, gorgeous shade! Love it and use it often! This is the one everyone should have!
Part 2 will be up tomorrow hope you're enjoying it so far! ;)

There are things we love to death and others we don't have an opinion formed.
Here it is, one of my smallest collection: lipglosses!
For the amount of products I have you assume I'm not a huge fan of these little friends, and you're so right!
l-r: ELF LipStain in Fashionista ; Douglas (nameless) ; Avon Colortrend in Berry Fizz
There are plenty of reasons to not like lipglosses and I could write a testament just to tell them all. But not going too further I'm just going to say what I think in general..
Well, lipglosses are supposed to make your lips look shinier or if not I don't know why's the wet thing going on. First of all I'm not a huge fan of sparkles, and truth be said I'm more of a matte lips girl!
My first lipgloss was the middle one, a present from my mom one of the past Christmas, which I'm very thankful for and being as honest as possible I quite like it! It's not sticky, it stays well, the color pay-off is good but... and here comes the but.. I don't reach for it many times.. nor this nor any other I have. I just never feel like using something shiny and attention seeker on my lips.
To the first of them all, I've never ever used the gloss part! I love the stain itself, it's gorgeous, the lasting power is amazing and everything but the gloss is not my thing. You already go it right?!
Avon... one of my favorite lip brands and once again I was enchanted by the color and decided to give it a try. And once again I used it 2 or 3 times! I suck I know.. But the good part is that I only have 3 so I haven't spent loads of money on a thing I won't use! *claps*
Here's the swatches!
l-r: Avon ; Douglas ; ELF
As you can see the color pay-off is really good and they look lovely on lips, it's just my paranoia! If you like glosses you shall try them since they're good products and affordable too!
I guess I'll continue to spend money on lipsticks and leave the shinny bottles for their lovers!
