As i mentioned, recently i had a situation... you see that blue mascara over there? I have it since August 2013 which makes 8 months approximatedly.. the longevity of mascaras is between 3 and 6 months max! I have mascaras that i bought years ago.. you're probably thinking 'uh so gross' but i may assure you they're fine..

I'm trowing that mascara away now 'cause i had some symptoms.. i started having itchy eyes, i got a pimple underneath and that thing hurts a lot! I just assume its mascara expiring since i only used that one at the time those symptoms appeared. I don't mean you have to trow your mascara away at the first time you get itchy eyes i had those symptoms more than once while using it.

Now, the longevity of mascaras depends on the times you use it.. if you wear it often it will expire quickly rather than if you only wear it sometimes.. i know that for a fact and this one is the proof. At the time i bought it i used it 5 or 6 times just recently i started using it more, for the past 2/3 months and that's why it got all unwearable.. Sometimes the product dries which i find easier to get rid off but the other times it just gets tainted, i may say?!

It's not easy to trow something away that still has product but you have to think on the side effects, if it gives you issues you can't keep on using it!

Eyes are a very sensitive part of our body, we need to take care of them and be careful about the products we use! It's highly recomended to trow away old mascaras, old eyeliners and things that might contact directly with your eyes.

I hope this post alerts you for the danger of having old mascaras and it inspires you to take a look into your mascara collection and tell goodbye to the old ones :)
