Smashbox Cover Shot Eyeshadow Palette Sultry

Sultry is definitely a good word to describe the shade range and finish from this palette - I'm living for the cool tones in here for a change!

As part of their holiday collection for 2017, a trio with Ablaze, Sultry and a mini Spotlight Palette in Pearl feature some of Ana Strumpf playful designs giving that extra touch to it! An art piece to keep!

The Magic By Juvia's

Yet another Juvia's palette and I could not be happier with this one. I got the stunning Magic Palette (30£) on Beauty Bay's black Friday sale for the amazing 18£ price tag and it is safe to say I'm in love ever since it arrived at my doorstep!

The colour scheme has a mix of warm and cool tones that I always love to pair together for the ultimate contrasting look and the pigmentation in both matte and shimmer shades is out of this world... I never cared to believe when other people stated these were their favourite eyeshadows but I sure get the hype now and 100% recommend.

Red lipstick is the classic shade for the festive season, whether it is a sheer red or a full on burgundy shade, you most likely will see someone at the Christmas Work Party rocking one! Having said that there's nothing like a true fiery red to add to the classy look and what better time to share 3 of my favourites, not only for the shade but also the formula!

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Aurora |

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits are iconic in the beauty industry and for some good reason! This is the second one I own and I must admit I'm obsessed!!!! Moonchild is on its way so I cannot compare them just yet but from what I've been experiencing I'm sure the quality is gonna be as amazing!

Aurora (41£) is not your ordinary highlighter palette! It contains 6 different and unique shades that will give a different life to your complexion when used! I've tried them all the quality is consistent throughout even thou Luna is the most blinding of them all - which I'm totally fine with!

A shade that definitely surprised me was Helia since the green is not that obvious on my warm complexion. It looks stunning as a highlighter and on the eyes! I must say I use these a lot on my inner corners to compliment looks and give a dimensional vibe to it.

Huda Beauty | Mauve Obsessions |

If there's a palette that's been everywhere recently it must be this one... and I can't blame anyone for doing so!

It so happens Huda Beauty dropped 4 different mini (and I must definitely emphasise mini here) palettes for all tastes!

I personally love some warm toned shadows or very colourful but because I definitely have enough of those decided to go for the Mauve Mini Obsessions Palette - the pink toned one!

I got mine from Cult Beauty for 25£ which I thought was a very good price until I saw the size of it!

It is literally smaller than you'd think! The size of a Mac quad palette but with 9 eyeshadows inside!

I must admit thou, I'd never go through an entire eyeshadow palette as I like to rotate my makeup pretty often so it makes no difference to me, but don't be shocked by how small it is!

Nars Man Ray | Love Game |

First things first, I'm in love! I've never been this drawn to a Nars eyeshadow palette before... I was thinking of it all day long and having to look at it every single day at work only made me even more sure of how much I'd love to own it and use it on a daily basis... so I bitten the bullet.

Here's to the collaboration of the year, or since Man Ray is no longer alive it is only fair to call it an inspired collection instead.

Man Ray was one of my favourite artists, he manipulated photography and made it look surrealist also contributing to one of my favourite movements in Art History - Dada. I'd definitely do some research if you're interested in the subject but I won't bother you much with my lesson.

Urban Decay | Naked Heat |

There's no perfect time than fall to pull those warm eyeshadows out of the drawer and there's also no better palette to represent that other than the Urban Decay Naked Heat! It falls perfectly into the idea of warm toned makeup with a mix of mattes and shimmers that deliver that elaborated warm look you see on instagram over and over again.

Flash Review | Smashbbox - Be Legendary Triple Tone Lipstick |

I own more lipsticks than a person can use in a lifetime however nothing I own is quite like this... Benefit was probably one of the first brands to recently come up with the idea of an easy to apply ombre lipstick but it didn't spark any interest on me. Having said that, on a trip to boots I swatched the newly launched Smashbox Be Legendary Triple Tone Lipsticks and was floored by the texture and quality of the product.

Kat Von D | Everlasting Mini Liquid Lipstick Set |

Kat Von D always surprises with her Holiday collections! This year she launched the stunning Saint & Sinner eyeshadow palette (review coming soon), but also this breathtaking lipstick set!

I've tried her Everlasting liquid lipsticks last year with the shade Double Dare, and fell in love with the formula. It is thin, glides on easily and feels comfortable on the lips, however, if you have to reapply later on the day it may look slightly dryer. I'm ok with it but I know a lot of you don't like to feel the liquid lipstick when it's on, so a heads up for that!

Smashbox | Be Legendary Power Pout Set |

Smashbox is a brand I definitely want to try more from in the future! I usually never visit their counters but to be fair I haven't tried anything that I don't like from them!

The Always On Liquid Lipsticks are hands down one of my favourite formulas of all time so I kinda had to try more from the lip range they offer.

Coming across a deal like this is almost impossible to resist - 5 lipsticks (1 full size 4 mini) for 29,99£ is just too good to be true... so on my Boots basket it landed!

Kat Von D | Alchemist |

Kat Von D is one of the brands, if not my favourite brand for makeup! The quality, the art, the originality and consistency is superb! Nothing has ever let me down from her line and the Alchemist Palette couldn't be more perfect!

Alchemist (25£) is the duo chrome holographic palette that comes with 4 different (duo chrome) shades that can be used on the eyes or face for extreme shine and uniqueness.

Revolution | Sophx Ultra Eyeshadows |

If you read last Sunday's post on the Revolution Sophx Highlighter Palette you know my opinion on the brand and how I feel about this collaboration... what you don't know is how I feel about this particular eyeshadow palette! As always, my opinion on this particular product is not influenced by the creator, brand or price!

Disclaimers aside, this eyeshadow palette is something else! Long time I don't see a palette that offers so much for so little. With this I mean the quality, is definitely there when you swatch and use on the eyes, but mainly the shade selection! It is really cohesive and varied. Sophie made sure she added some warm tones, that I personally love, but also some statement colours like Pine Tree and Petrol! However, what surprised me the most is the fact she added a white and a black eyeshadow making this the perfect travel palette - compact and full of different options!

A couple months ago L'oreal launched their version of liquid eyeshadows - the Infallible Eye Paints (5,99£)! To my surprise the shade selection is quite daring but I went for 4 shades that were catching my eye the most!

Revolution | Soph x Highlighter Palette |

I feel like I must start by explaining why I rarely ever feature Makeup Revolution on the blog.

Firstly I just don't usually have interest on buying their products when I have much more high end alternatives on my drawers waiting to be used before expiry date. Secondly, it is rare that they launch a product where they're not trying to copy some other brand and upon watching Kat Von D's video about it I'm totally supporting her and understanding, as an artist myself, how bad it is to get your work and idea stolen and produced in favour of a cheaper alternative.

Lastly, even thou they're cheap I never found the quality that amazing, I would say they sit on the same lines as MUA... I just stopped even looking at their stand!

Having said that, when Sophie from Soph Does Nails, announced her collaboration with them and upon watching her swatch video on the products I couldn't just pass on it. I really do like Sophie and is an immense pleasure to support her, but besides that the products looked promising! They look original (for once) and really cohesive, quality seems good upon watching her using the products.

All in all that's why I wanted to get my hands on them and review for you - let me just clarify that my opinion is not influenced by the person who created, brand or price.

Glow is the key for the holiday season and since not all of us have the possibility or desire to spend dozens of pounds in cosmetics I decided it would be helpful to bring you some affordable glow givers!

Seventeen has always been that brand I look past when shopping, have no idea why since I've always been a fan of affordable yet good quality make-up, so since the day I decided to stop 5 minutes and have a browse there I found a few amazing products.

Catrice Lights & Shades!

Catrice has always been one of my top brands but unfortunately is not available in the UK!! Once my friend said she was coming to visit I made sure she would bring me a few things that I've been eyeing for the longest time!

My main obsession lately is highlights, as many of us beauty lovers, and I couldn't pass without getting the High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder (5€) since it looks stunning and even thou it is a tad bit more shimmery than I was expecting it manages to look strong all day!

I was also very keen on trying the Allround Contouring Palette (4€) as it seemed very appealing, and it sure is good! It's a cream contour, something I'm not head over heels for but as the shades are so good and is well formulated I kinda gave in and am now using it non stop!! It gives a natural finish, blending evenly through the skin, lasting all day at full power. It sure is a little gem of the drugstore! I don't use as much the concealer shades but the highlighter on the outer corner is good for a dewy glow on the cheeks.

Lastly I had my heart shaped eyes on the recently released High Lighting Eyeshadows (3€) that double as eyeshadow and highlight, as you may notice. This is so intensely pigmented and goes on smoothly on the skin. It requires a soft hand if you're not into strong highlighted cheek bones. I can't wait to get my hands on the other shades, they have a pink and a more yellow-ish tones, the one I own and pictured above is the 010 Turn The High Lights On!

Overall I'm very impressed with the recent releases from Catrice on the Highlighting and Contouring departments and can't wait to see what else they have in store for us!

The Highlight Edit | Swatches |

Highlighters are everywhere and even thou I don't own the amazing Champagne Pop or Soft & Gentle I still managed to grab a good variety of them that I love but... just wait for IMATS, something tells me I will come home with a few more...

From liquid to powder there's plenty of options, some more affordable than others, and for the most part differing in shade and intensity!

I managed to downsize to my favourites to 8, no judgments, I honestly love each one of these can't really skip any.

What's New To My Collection | NYX | Urban Decay | S&G |

This is it, we can call the spending ban a failure for now. I can't live without buying makeup and that's a serious thing. But negativism aside, I managed to get my hands on some more NYX products, this time I've purchased them in store - finally Boots is starting to stock their products in store as well, even thou I had to go to central London to see that happen!

Nonetheless it was a great experience and I got home with a hand full of products!
