Christmas is around the corner and I can see all the excitment in everyone's posts around the blogosphere! We all know Christmas most iconic colour has to be Red and since we all have different ways that we like to express that within our styles I decided to bring 3 different Red beauty products that we can use either together or on their own during the festive season. And a bonus is they're all affordable!!
Sleek Makeup is hands down one of my favourite brands at the drugstore! Packaging always on point but for the matters, quality is amazing for the price!
My first ever Sleek product was an eyeshadow palette that I got at Sephora Portugal back in 2012?! Probably before! It's the Storm palette that I use till today and love!
Highlighters are everywhere and even thou I don't own the amazing Champagne Pop or Soft & Gentle I still managed to grab a good variety of them that I love but... just wait for IMATS, something tells me I will come home with a few more...
From liquid to powder there's plenty of options, some more affordable than others, and for the most part differing in shade and intensity!
I managed to downsize to my favourites to 8, no judgments, I honestly love each one of these can't really skip any.
With Spring upon us I can totally rock my flower headband and bright pink lipstick with no excuse! I for sure am a girl of dark bold makeup but couldn't resist the sunshine asking for the bright yet wearable look!
To add to the fun I decided I would just reach for affordable products, which proves once more the drugstore brands are upping their game and no need for more expensive makeup to reach a fresh yet fun makeup look!

Here I am again with another haul! May I remind you I'm still on my spending ban and no this was not a weak moment, just a few things I picked up before I started this journey. I also have more coming up but you'll get that later!
Where do I start? Beauty Bay, I've been doing some shopping there for the past months and after loving everything and the fastest shipping ever I went for more Zoeva!
It all started by the need of experimenting more with palettes that are not so new to my collection... I have this thing, when I get new eyeshadows I work with them once or twice and sometimes after that I go months without touching them. It is one of those things you can't really control when you own so many eyeshadows and keep getting more!
As a way to change things a bit I went for the Enchanted Forest palette by Sleek, and as always followed my instinct when it came to shades and final look.
Daphne is all over the lid topped with Happily Ever After to create a more dimensional look! On the crease and inner corner I mixed Grand Duke and Drizella. To my lower lash line I added Anastasia and completed my waterline with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Vice plus a little bit of Gosh Velvet Touch Eye Pencil in Renascence Gold!
Glass Slipper is on my brow bone to highlight the Inglot AMC Brow Liner Gel (21) that filled them in!
To complete the entire look I used L'oreal Super Liner So Couture in a thin line following the lashes and ending in a barely noticeable wing. On my lashes I used the Catrice Jet Lash Speed Volume Mascara.
In the end it turned out to be one of my favourite looks yet where I pair purple, that I love on brown eyes, and green that makes the whole look stand out!
P.S. Sleek does not sponsor me in any shape or form, I simply love their eyeshadows and tend to create a look with just one palette as they usually are so complete. I feel the need to say this due to the amount of people that actually think every good review or focus post you write is sponsored by the brand or was given to you for the purpose.

Valentines month is here and for what I can see it's huge in the UK! We're already setting up for the big day at the bakery and even thou nothing beats Christmas I'm quite scared of the amount of orders we'll have to make!! Either way I was never a huge fan of this day, not really knowing what it is actually about, but since you all might enjoy it very much here's a wearable look I created for you!
Using the Vintage Romance palette by Sleek, and also one of my favourites of the range, I decided to go gold and bold this time!
Meet in Madrid is all over the lid followed by a combination of Marry in Monte Carlo, Honeymoon in Hollywood & Bliss in Barcelona on the crease! All of the 3 shades are also combined in the lower lash line! Forever in Florence is the shade I picked to give the crease a more defined look and my inner corner has a NYX Prismatic eyeshadow in Girl Talk, but if you want to keep it with just Sleek Pretty in Paris would do a good highlight as well!
As for the eyeliner I used the Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner in 021 Renaissance Gold to do my wing and on my waterline! Lash wise the Catrice Jet Lash Mascara was my pick! If you're good at falsies it is the perfect day to rock some romantic ones, I just can't get a hold of them so mascara does it for me!!

After what seems like 3 hours and 75 triangles on my face I ended up with this look, if you want me to tell you why I simply don't have a reason!
I just got inspired by a book and decided to do something different with my eye makeup which at the end resulted on a not expected full on face, ears and neck paint!
In a way I just did it all very randomly the only thing I had in mind was a transition like from dark to light but not the vulgar way of doing black to white stuff, and also I wanted to use the triangles somehow!
I decided gold would suit this look well in the way of sharing the power of a (not so) bare face contrasting with the cold shattered purple and blue! I just like to experiment, I don't really sit down and think about a subject or make up a character on a face chart... I just pull stuff out of my drawers and let my hands do what they want in my face! Sounds weird after saying it but I just can't really come here and say 'oh I always plan my looks, this one represents a shattered glass of a profound coldness that gave up to the warmth and lustre of the gold" sounds good in a way but no, it just happened to be like this and I wanted to share it with you!
One thing I love doing on my not so wearable looks is different makeup on both sides of my face, I love transition of colours, even if they don't compliment or contrast each other, I know colour theory I just don't think much, as I already said, about what I'm really doing, I don't have something planned so it's hard to know what the end result can be. I love the fact I can create different designs and play in different areas at the same time!
This look has a very luminous base, I can say I used more liquid highlight than actual foundation and loads of an illuminating eyeshadow all over the face, in the end I quite liked the result and even thou I'm not the best at posing for photography I still got a decent shot of what it looked like!
By the way, I just came home from work, I'm extremely tired but decided it was good to spend the rest of my afternoon playing with makeup, I want to get better each day, I admire this kind of makeup so much that I ambition to have my own photoshoots one day and be able to create outstanding looks... the key to get there is mostly practice, find new techniques and above all be as creative as possible! I'm just starting to get it more out, usually I focus more on eye makeup than anything else but I want to do full on face makeup, costumes and even prosthetics if I'm that adventurous!
This is a way I found to express my love for makeup and its endless uses, I've done some of these before last year so I'll list them here if you're curious to see them!
If you're interested on the products I used here's the list:
Eyeshadows by Kiko - Purple -158 | Sky Blue - 162 | Dark Blue -283 (clics system) | Burgundy -136 | Gold - 256 (clics system) | Dark Brown - 240 (clics system)
Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in 010 Look Me In The Ice all over the face as highlighter
Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in Monaco mixed with Max Factor Miracle Match foundation all over the face - 1 part of highlighter to 1/2 part of foundation
On my brows - Inglot Brow Liner Gel 21 & Kiko Clics System Eyeshadow in 283 (dark blue) plus Collection Glam Crystals Eyeliner in Hustle 4 on top mixed with some blue glitter!
Eyeliner - Kiko Precision Liner (black) Gosh Intense Eyeliner Pen in 06 Blue
L'oreal False Lash Sculpt Mascara
Lips - a mix of the gold and highlighting eyeshadows
Hopefully you like this look as much as I do, in a way!

First official post of 2016 has to come with the most used in 2015 and in this case the products I sure recommend you to try this new year, if you haven't already!
I tried my best to pick one of each category but if I missed something don't mind me as it's quite hard to narrow down the favourites of the year to just 16 products!
Seasons change and so our makeup routines! The vampy lips come into scene, the illuminated skin and a new shade of foundation makes the way to the first spot in the makeup drawer!
There were a few products that I was curious to try and quickly they became my winter staples! Starting with a radiant skin I find hard to stop using the Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in Monaco as it gives the most stunning glow from within effect on my skin and gives me the confidence to walk in the rainy days knowing I won't be looking dull!
To add up to the party I went for the Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation by Catrice that is amazing, lightweight but providing enough coverage for my needs, it definitely evens out my skin and takes away all the redness and I love it alone or even with its mate Miracle Match from Max Factor! After hearing so many good things about this particular foundation I decided it was time to try something from Max Factor, I know I know why wouldn't I in the first place!! It is without a doubt one of my favourite foundations but the smell puts me a bit off, maybe I just need to get used to it! The shade is one of the best matching my skin this winter and coverage provided is good enough for a fairly good skin day! In a sum of words I often go for either one of the two foundations, or mix them together plus the Sleek illuminator and that gives me the perfect base to start with!
On a not so great skin day I rely on my Clarins Instant Concealer to cover all the blemishes and lift up my under eye area and even thou shade 1 is a bit too light for spot concealing I can manage to blend it perfectly in my base and create the look I'm aiming for! Radiant and flawless!
These have been my favourite products for the winter base and won't go away anytime soon!
Which products have you been using this winter?
Thanks for reading,
Blush has taken all over my routine!! How unexpected! I've never been a girl of blush-y cheeks I just thought it wouldn't make a whole lot of a GOOD difference! But well, it does and this happened!
I'm more of a mauve or berry blush kinda gal, bright pinks don't do much for me and even thou the natural shades are also a favourite these are my picks for the season!
Liquid light, glow from within, radiant complexion, it all sounds like 3 products I own! From Seventeen to Benefit most of the brands have now one liquid highlighter or a similar product with a different name! The thing is, the liquid and cream formulas are getting more and more popular and if we want a break from the so powdery pans we can rely on these products!
Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting palette finally came to my collection and I couldn't be happier about it! I've been all over highlights lately and this is the perfect addition to make skin glow all day and look divine!
With 3 creams and 1 powder you can use this for endless purposes giving the perfect purse palette for those who look for glowy looks on a daily basis! I sure will take it with me on my next trip to Portugal!
As you can expect not all of the shades suit my skin tone to be highlighters so I tend to try them in other ways where I take the most out of each product!
Sleek Makeup has been one of those brands that I love everything I try from, no exception for their eyeshadow palettes! At 7,99£ each you can't go wrong when the pigmentation and variety of shades is beyond its price. The latest addition to the i-Divine collection has the name of Enchanted Forest and by the names of the shadows we know its been inspired by fantasy stories we all know well!
As Autumn is on its full this year I got inspired to use the beautiful greens on the palette paired with this unique purple and the result is here! If you're curious on how to get this look keep on reading!
Here comes the Fall -uhuh!! As a dark lip lover I couldn't wait more for its time to come, even if I wear plum lips all year long!
Summer is over and I am struggling to find a good coat for a new winter but apart from all that Halloween is near (who else loves halloween decorations?) and everyone is starting to pull out some vampy shades! To celebrate this new season I decided to bring you a Fall Lip Wardrobe featuring all kinds of vampy shades that I sure love!
With a ever so growing collection of fall lipsticks I sure have some more by this time if you wonder, which will be featured in future posts, but for now here is what I expect to wear during this fall!
Top 3 favourites go to Kiko Unlimited Stylo 12, Maybelline Color Drama 310 and Revlon Colorburst 215, being them all matte and long lasting, easy to apply and maintain throughout the day, even thou they last amazingly well on the first application.
If you're more about the reds I highly suggest trying the Topshop Beguiled one as it is a very deep and beautiful red with a satin finish. The only thing I don't enjoy much about this lipstick is how time consuming it is. I find it very slippery and need to use a lip liner and lip brush with it even after that it can get messy if not careful. It transfers a lot and requires high maintenance which puts me off wearing it more often! Apart from that the colour is beautiful and it feels comfortable on the lips.
A close dupe in colour to my favourite Kiko 12 is the Rimmel Lasting Finish in 120 Cutting Edge as you can see by the swatches they look identical! In real life the Rimmel one is a tiny bit darker and formula is not comparable in some points! It is highly fragranced so sniff it before buying it if you're sensitive to scents. Rimmel 120 has a satin finish whereas the Kiko one is matte, even thou they both look amazing on the lips!
I seem to get alike shades all the time and by any means I do it on purpose! The Maybelline Color Drama in 310 comes close to the Revlon Super Lustrous in 477, in photo! If you swatch them together in real life you'll notice the Maybelline one has more purple undertones and is a matte finish while the Revlon has more red to it and is a satin finish! It is a matter of preference in this case but I love both!
Recently I did a post on matte lipsticks where I talk about the Sleek Fandango Purple and the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms so take a look here if you want to hear more about those!
Lastly I have the 2 darkest shades of my collection, that I intend to expand, being them Revlon Colorburst in 215 Shameless and Revlon Super Lustrous in 663 Va Va Violet, both from the same family these two purples differ a lot from each other whether it is in finish as the first is a matte and the second a satin, but also in longevity and undertones. Shameless is way more purpl-y pink than Va Va Violet that has more of an aubergine tone to it. I would love this one more if it was matte as the colour takes a bit of time to build up on the lips but still gives a beautiful shade of purple vampy lips for this fall!
Now that you took a look into my Fall Lip Wardrobe share with me all your favourite Fall shades!
Thanks for reading,
I sure need to create a post on how I achieve my makeup looks but since I have one talking about my creative process you can find everything you need to know for now in here.
As for the usual part I love me a good forest green shade problem is I always seem to put them aside for no apparent reason. We're right in the middle of summer time where you expect to be wearing all sort of bright colours but we can always find a place for the deep tones! On a night out or an event to match all those Greek Goddesses inspired looks ol' gold is a must!
With my MUA Undress Me Too palette I felt inspired to use the 6th shade of the top row - an old gold colour as I can only describe it! Super intense pigment that contrasts amazingly with that deep green from Sleek Storm palette! On my inner corner I felt the need for some light so Catrice Liquid Metal eyeshadow in 010 made a good point! The lower lash line mimics the top but this time with a Smoky Pencil in 02 by Kiko. As for the waterline my Rimmel Scandaleyes in 005 Nude completed the entire look giving a hint of something without being too much! I think. The mascara I'm using here is the Essence Get Big Lashes Waterproof if you're wondering.
Overall I really like how this look turned out and will for sure wear it a lot this upcoming months!
What do you think? Will you rock some greens or stick to the nudes?
I'm late to the party, once again. You've seen the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms a million times on the web and so as the Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams but recently was the first time I tried those. On a random trip to Superdrug I fell in love with Fandango Purple by Sleek I spent weeks thinking about it and finally gave in. I'm in love. It's the first liquid lipstick I try and actually like as for the past I had bad experiences on this department.
Summer is finally here and as a celebration I decided to do an extra post every Friday till the end of this month sharing makeup looks to wear this season! Sounds exciting right? Hopefully you'll get inspired!
The first look I'm sharing is created using the super affordable Sleek palette in Storm (7.99£/10€) that gets much love in general but some of shades don't get much use as the other ones! Trying to find a way to wear those more often I created a combo with the sparkling rose shade and the denim blue. On the inner corner I used the Catrice Highlighter Pen in 010 Eye Like! which gave the loo a hint of light. The super sparkling eye can be worn at night but also on a daily basis for the adventurous ones! I really like the way it turned out and definitely will wear this combination more often as its quick and only requires one palette! The quality of Sleek shadows is well known as they feel buttery and are easy to blend giving the overall eyeshadow work a much nicer and quicker result.
What do you think about this look? Would you wear it?
Thanks for reading,
I'm well aware my makeup collection is not small but what can I say? It always seems like I need something else here and there so in one recent trip to Superdrug & Kiko I ended up with this amount of items.
My first purchases were at Kiko and I went there to get a new shade of the Universal Fit Foundation that I shared my thoughts on in this post but it couldn't come alone so I ended up with a new Intense Colour eye pencil in a stunning bronz-y shade.

2014,
ELF
Aureus Imperium
Since festive seasons are here we have to hurry and find the perfect dress and a makeup look to go with it! Whenever I think about Christmas or New Year, gold is the color that pops in my mind. Maybe it's the champagne bottle cap or the fireworks, I just love to see gold makeup at night, not to say it is a glamorous color!
Aureus Imperium as known as "The Golden Rule", is the Latin expression that defines best this look!
To start off I used the Elf Jumbo Stick in French Lace all over the lid emphasizing the inner corner. The eyeshadows are from Storm palette, by Sleek and on top of French Lace is the champagne shimmery color followed by the goldish & the brown with red sparkles all over the crease and bottom lash line. I finished the look applying mascara but if you enjoy wearing fake eyelashes go for them!
