Christmas is around the corner and I can see all the excitment in everyone's posts around the blogosphere! We all know Christmas most iconic colour has to be Red and since we all have different ways that we like to express that within our styles I decided to bring 3 different Red beauty products that we can use either together or on their own during the festive season. And a bonus is they're all affordable!!
Nail polishes, long time no see! Finally I'm not working full time on the bakery and can rock my long colourful nails for the most part of the week! It sounds a bit irrelevant but I've always liked to do my nails and be creative with them, one of the first posts was actually a nail art, which unfortunately I had to stop improving as my pastry course started. For health and safety reasons we can't have long nails let alone with chemicals on top. Since I'm just working part time there from now on I can do my nails on the days off which made me get so excited I bought tons o new polishes.
H&M Envy Me / Kiko 266 / Kiko 227 / Kiko 385 / Cliche Top Coat Matt
When you make a decision of 1) being a pastry chef 2) moving to another country you face many changes mostly when it takes to your nails. My hands look awful, the nails are shapeless and fragile something I wouldn't expect as for the past years (before the pastry course) I had long and good looking nails as you can see on this post.
Apart from all the drama of having to give all the 40 polishes I had on my drawers I still managed to keep 5, 4 colours that I can't live without and a matte top coat making the minimum nail set complete.
As you can probably tell Kiko has my favourite polishes as they have an amazing range of colours and finishes lasting a pretty good time on me. Long story short I had to keep my two most used blues, a vampy red and an emerald shade for the times I still manage to have good looking nails, that are not too often this days.
Nail art used to be one of my favourite things to do justifying the amount of colours and finishes I had back then. Sadly I don't do it anymore and I'm afraid I lost my touch on that department but if I ever end up having a different job that allows me to have the manicure on point I sure will grow back my nail polish collection. Till then I'm left with 4 favourites to use and abuse on the upcoming occasions, the ones I know won't let me down.
Which nail polishes are your favourites?
Thanks for reading,
Finally had the opportunity to paint my nails which nowadays seems to be rare occasion!
My polish of choice is a deep Vampy Red color which reminds me of Autumn days and Barnabas Collins (Dark Shadows).
Vamp it ~5€
Personally I don't think polishes have a season, I pick one that I feel I'm going to like on my nails, and you're probably noticing that my nails are no longer big so I tend to reject bright colors. Paranoia.
When I was searching my nail stash I found this Avon polish that I might have used once or twice and decided it was time to use it again. It's a really deep red as I like most reads to be.
As you can read it's a Speed Dry that its supposed to dry in 30 seconds which naturally isn't that true but in a minute or 2 it's dry. It's the perfect formula for those days we're in a rush but let me tell you.. It already shipped. You read right! I painted my nails at afternoon and by night it shipped and not only a little bit. It's disappointing to see that I can't get my nails right even for one day. Might be my problem might not be. I don't know. Usually Avon nail polishes have a really good lasting power which I don't understand this lack of duration.
After all it's a gorgeous shade to wear whenever you like, Spring or Winter times!
Thanks for reading,
Hey hey hey!!
Are you a nails lover?! This post is for you ;)
As you may have noticed Spring is here and so that i decided to make a post on my spring choices for my nails.. Are you interested?! Keep on reading ;)
Recently i showed you my nailpolish collection which is huge by this time since i don't wear nailpolish on daily basis.. Anyway.. if we have it we shall take advantage of it and so that i intend to wear nailpolish more often this spring/summer...
If you're always updated you already know that pastel colours rule!! They're sweet, light, unicorn-reminder colours that goes with everything !
To start off, nudes are never overpast so here's my suggestion for a pale nude that goes with every single outfit you have and gives a nice polished look to your hands..
Cliché - Vento
Green screams Spring! Pale greens are such beautiful colours and my suggestion is for this one by Cliché named Cancun! So gorgeous!
Lilacs and Blues are brothers yet they look different.. For a pastel lilac - which i think is the most beautiful pastel colour in the world - i sugest Kiko Makeup Milano in 338! So precious!
For a blue - that reminds the clean sky of a sunny day - i pick Cliché Seychells!
Here we go again... More blues, more purples.. and effects.. Nowadays you're able to find so many different efects that i can't even count! My spring suggestion are glittery nails or mirror effect nails!
Super duper gorgeous !
Essence - 52 Out of my Mind
Kiko Makeup Milano Mirror - 625
Kiko Makeup Milano Mirror - 622
Avon Colortrend - Blue Morph
Red is intemporary.. no matter which season no matter which time! It's always a good colour to choose!
Spring means bright colours so i suggest Yves Rocher in 32 and Cliche in Mao Real!
As cousins of the reds, pinks are also a huge screamer for the spring time!
Cliché in Misterio & Surpresa are such good reminders of the huge flower camps all over the place!
Last but never least more blues.. you know i'm a bit obsessed right ;)
Blue is a reminder of clean water & clean sky...
Blue screams happiness! So here's my suggestions for a happy new season!
For a bright blue sky i like Cliché in Tatoo or Kiko Makeup Milano in 385..
For a clean sea water i always pick up Andreia 121 or Essence 55 Let's get Lost !
I hope my suggestions make you feel more into the Spring spirit and gives you inspiration to do your nails based on this new season!
Which nailpolish you prefer to use this time of the year?!
Thanks for reading,

I'm a huge lover of nailpolishes and you'll see it by the ammount of bottles i have.. Unfortunately i'm not allowed to paint my nails at the moment since i'm in a pastry course and i deal with food everyday.
Before this course i used to paint my nails at least once a week and i used to do some nail art stuff too!

Since nail art is not only drawing in nails you of course heard about this caviar nail trend! To be honest i never tried them! What a shame!
These are beautiful on the bottle but i'm not so sure of their effectiveness! We'll see someday in the future i hope!
There are many other different effects but since this is my collection i'm only showing what i have!
For a girl that can't wear nailpolish i have a huge collection... keep in mind that i've been collecting these nailpolishes for 3 and half years now so it's not like i've bought them all at once ;)
Which colour you prefer to wear in your nails ?!
Thanks for reading,
Good morning little bunnies!!!
It's Easter, or it was past Sunday!
To celebrate Easter season we always buy a lot of candies and cakes and yummmi things! But this year.. tchan-nan-aanan !! I made the cakes! (sssshhhhh don't tell anyone but they were good)
One day i'll share with you my bakers talent but now.. i must show you my nail paint talent.. or lack of it :)
Easter is all the same, spring, bright colours, family and cakes!
To enter the spirit i decided to go for a happy colour, let me just tell you blue on nails is like a fish on water.. or i think so!
I never hidden my passion for blue nails and here it is expressed one more time..
I know this has nothing to do with Easter but when you bake you don't have lot of time so you won't spend 3 hours doing funny draws on your nails when you can be making cookies to eat them next , trust me ;)
It's just a little post showing you this nail colour that i enjoy so much wearing!
Kiko Makeup Milano in 385
Just to mention that Kiko nailpolishes are super affordable! Take a look on them, the colour range, the quality, the price.. everything helps.. you don't have any excuse not to buy them!
If you made a nail art for Easter season i would be glad to see it ;)
Thanks for reading,
Hey !!
It has been a long time since i posted something about nails! That's because my school doesn't allow us to wear nailpolish (and it's completely right since i work with food everyday)..
I'm in holidays for a week, its Easter season so i decided to paint my nails for this week! :)
I choose a matt effect on glittery nails which is one of my favorites to wear!
(excuse my bad paint, i lost practise)
As you can see i have a base that's black with red sparkles! That nailpolish looks pretier when it stills 'wet', when it dries it becomes a dark brown colour which i'm not a huge fan!
Since i like the red sparkles i used Claire's red glitter nailpolish on top of the black one..
I love how it looks!
I'm a huge fan of matt colours whether in makeup or nails! I particularly find that glittery nails looks fantastic with a matt effect !!
The nailpolishes i used to create this look:
Avon nailwear pro - Wicked
Claire's glitter polish in red
Cliché - Top Coat Matt
Now its time to eat some easter eggs ;)
Thanks for reading,
Hey Sweethearts!!
I was wondering if i should have a theme where i can show you my products and opinions about them... so i thought why not having a day for each colour ?
As you can read from the tittle today the Queen is PURPLE !!
Starting with the eyeshadows... i know.. i'm a bit crazy for purple but it's one of my favourite colours to wear and i think it suits brown eyes really well..
I Love these eyeshadows, some more than others but in general i use them all :D

Hey everybody,
today i have a nailpolish to show you , i went to Kiko Make Up Milano recently, and for those who don't know what Kiko is i'll explain, so it's an Italy cosmetics company with affordable prices and lots of sales during the entire year, i advise you to subscribe their newsletter so that you can be aware of everything.
You can find it here , and choose your country (you can find 8 contries including UK)
This is a collection that came out a few months ago and it is on the sale section, i never saw this kind of effect in other brands so it may be pretty new to the world.
Mirror Nail Lacquer
- Mirror effect nail polish, Ultra-radiant, metallic finish
my colour is 625 (green)
I love the effect itself, but this colour i have to admit, its not my favorite, but there is a selection of 15 so it's pretty decent range of colours, mostly are blues, pinks and greens
The retail price is £4.90 and you only pay £2.50.. as you know i'm from Portugal so i pay in € , it was about 1,50€ and the retail price is about 4,90€, a discount of 69% .. pretty good i think.
One thing i noticed, with one layer it works well enough , its opaque and the finish is not glossy at all, so if you prefer a glossy finish i advise you to use a top coat.
I did 2 layers, i'm pretty happy with the texture, the applicator, and the duration... well i guess its fine, it has a 5 day duration in a decent way without a top coat so if you use one it may last longer than that.
In conclusion, i think its a cool effect and i had to have it on my collection, the quality is good and the price *bargain* .
I Love Kiko in general so, give it a try if you have the opportunity, it may surprise you :)
