It's been a while since I decided to go through this, a spending ban. 

For the past year I bought an insane amount of makeup, as I started to work and have more brands at my hands. All those things I wanted for years most of them are in my collection, the lipsticks grew from about 20 to 60+, and it's not that I'm ashamed of owning so much makeup, it's just a rest and a way of keeping track of what I have, what I actually need and use up loads of things I have sitting there!

Also, my main reason for this decision was IMATS 16, it is my first time going and to be honest I don't want to be worried about money, I want to go, be free to buy whatever I fancy and still have money to buy food at the end of the day!

If you're familiar with IMATS you know the entry fee is around 50£ which is not cheap at all to start with, I'm going mostly to interact with other beauty lovers, get to know makeup schools better and of course get some professional makeup that I can't as easily outside. 

This may not look promising but something may tell you it's worth a read. 

Somehow the other day I found myself debating whether use my Catrice Prime & Fine Eyeshadow Base or my MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ocre, this to say I gave up all the other bases by the time I picked the MAC one, for no reason!

In a way of testing both and see how they look against each other I did my makeup for the day but on one eye I applied Soft Ocre and on the other I used the Prime & Fine.

To my surprise the results were not the expected.

Out of nowhere here I am again with another haul, if you follow me on Twitter you know what I'm talking about... those midnight purchases I totally do by impulse after a long day at work!

To say this is not even the most recent one explains a lot about my obsession with beauty right?! 

Without rambling too much I must say I'm obsessed with NYX and since we can finally get a hold of their products through Boots I go mad and buy everything I've always wanted to try! 

A couple of months ago I got my hands on the Vice 4 palette and I wrote a review on it, putted together a look and you never heard about it ever since... well, that's about to change!

I decided to go for the greens that tend to scare some people and create a simple look with them that you can wear for a hang out with friends or even to a party!

I usually start on the crease and as the Vice 4 doesn't really have many of transition colours, that I actually like, I went for the Makeup Geek eyeshadows in Frappe and Cocoa Bear mixed together, intensifying them with a bit of Delete from V4.

On the lids I went for C-Note and followed it with Arctic on the outer corner. To put it all together I  mixed Grassttopper and C-Note on the lower lash line adding the Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in I Have a Green combined with the Gosh Velvet Touch Liner in I Sea You to my waterline. 

To give a hint of light to my inner corners I went for the Essence Eyeshadow in 06 Pippa Mint!

Lastly for the wing I used Kiko Precision Liner finishing the look with Rimmel Super Curler Mascara and Eylure Naturalites False Lashes!  

I hope this look inspires you to add some greens to your makeup, if you're too scared start by adding a green pencil to the waterline, it will make a good difference to a natural look without the out of comfort zone feeling!

Last December I decided to give in and try My Little Box for the first time, I haven't looked back. On my 3rd and February edition box I'm excited to report it didn't disappoint and even thou I skipped the review of my January "My Little Wish Box" I plan on doing them from now on no exceptions!

Starting with the obvious, the box itself is always on point! The design and themes exceed anything I see out there and the fact they look cute on the top of my dressing table or wardrobe helps a lot! Not to talk about their purpose of keeping things organised, specially the cards we receive that are too beautiful to trow away! 

But the subscription is not about the box on the outside! With the ever so growing box subscription offer we often pay more attention to the inside to see if it's worth the money we're investing in and how it compares to the others. My Little Box is my favourite so far on the matter, it offers a bit of everything, beauty and lifestyle and in this particular edition home pieces! What else can I ask for?

As you may already know it's Valentines month, hurray, and I have to start my work at 4 in the morning because of that... yes that's how much people loves cake on that day! Still, forgetting the painful mornings I'm about to experience I managed to create some sort of looks, in previous days of course, to share with you how much I'm not keen on this event. 

You first had a glimpse of a wearable look here where I used the Vintage Romance palette by Sleek as my inspiration! So today I bring you something different and daring, that you probably won't wear any time soon but can keep in mind for future halloween or carnival experiences! 

Make Up For Ever arrived UK soil not long ago and even thou I had many chances to try it in Portugal before I really never did! 

As Debenhams sales were on, I decided to check out what products they had for less that were actually worth a try! To my surprise MUFE was included on the sales and so this gorgeous set that ended up being around 23£! 

As it's called the Cult Makeup Set you can guess it has some of their most popular products and for the price I couldn't really say no! 

The set includes the High Definition Powder, Step 1 Skin Equalizer primer, Smoky Extravagant mascara, Aqua Liner in 13 (black), Aqua Eyes in 0L and the Aqua Lip in 8C! All of these are travel size with the exception of the Aqua Liner, and they came inside a cute orange pouch that I carry with me everywhere!

The only products I'm yet to try are the liquid eyeliner and the mascara as I have too many open at the moment and don't really want to waste products, but as soon as I try them I'll give a feedback on their performance! 

I was excited to try the so famous HD Powder and its fine texture is amazing to set the under eye! Since it's so fine I have to be careful and tap my brush to not overload it in product but overall it keeps my under eye area with no creases till the end of the day! 

The Step 1 primer was also highly raved on the beauty community when it first came out and I must agree it really does something for my pores! I have extremely large pores on my nose and in some areas of my cheeks so it gets a bit frustrating to put foundation on and see all those wholes emphasised! This primer definitely fills them in and its creamy texture doesn't make my foundation slide on! I'm really enjoying it so far!

As for the Aqua Eyes and Aqua Lips I'm very impressed with the soft texture but overall the colour pay-off and staying power! The black for the eyes and the red for the lips is such good choice in the kit complimenting it very well and giving us the taste of professional quality makeup!

I'm very impressed with Make Up For Ever products and I already have some more on my list including their new HD Concealer and stick foundations! The eyeshadows thou, seem hard to resist! 

If you didn't have the chance to get this kit online maybe try your local shops as I've seen it recently at Debenhams in Westfield London!

So, this happened, quite long ago to be fair! I decided to give MAC lipsticks another chance... why would I? Laura thought it was a good idea to recommend it to me! 

As if packaging was not enough to make me want this particular lipstick in my collection what really sold me was the shade, the formula (that I was so impressed with) and mostly the fact I didn't own anything like it in all aspects of it's uniqueness! 

This purple mauve pink, all kind of what I want in a lipstick shade, made its way home and since that day I've been struggling not to use it! It is that good... as I said a few times in the past I struggled with a Mac lipstick I bought and ever since didn't look forward to get any other as they're not cheap!
This 17£ gem was a treat, in a way, I was not sure if I would like it on myself but girl I did and the consistency is on point, the longevity is amazing and I personally think it brings life to my face! 

I'm in love with it and I sure think it's worth a try if you're a fan of these kind of shades! I find it goes well with almost everything which makes me use it even more! 

The packaging was great influence at once but it was limited edition for the holidays, if you're lucky you can get it online! 

Overall this post came in a way to share how my opinion changed on MAC lipsticks, hopefully it inspires you to try something you didn't like at first sometime soon, maybe you'll enjoy it more than you think!

Valentines month is here and for what I can see it's huge in the UK! We're already setting up for the big day at the bakery and even thou nothing beats Christmas I'm quite scared of the amount of orders we'll have to make!! Either way I was never a huge fan of this day,  not really knowing what it is actually about, but since you all might enjoy it very much here's a wearable look I created for you! 

Using the Vintage Romance palette by Sleek, and also one of my favourites of the range, I decided to go gold and bold this time! 

Meet in Madrid is all over the lid followed by a combination of Marry in Monte Carlo, Honeymoon in Hollywood & Bliss in Barcelona on the crease! All of the 3 shades are also combined in the lower lash line! Forever in Florence is the shade I picked to give the crease a more defined look and my inner corner has a NYX Prismatic eyeshadow in Girl Talk, but if you want to keep it with just Sleek Pretty in Paris would do a good highlight as well! 

As for the eyeliner I used the Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner in 021 Renaissance Gold to do my wing and on my waterline! Lash wise the Catrice Jet Lash Mascara was my pick! If you're good at falsies it is the perfect day to rock some romantic ones, I just can't get a hold of them so mascara does it for me!!
