I can't remember the last time I sat down and did an update post, maybe in January? It's been a long time now and I know I should do this more often.

6 months later here I am in dear England and apart from all the hard things, I manage to like London more than I ever expected. People has been lovely to me and the great things happening all the time in this beautiful city makes me feel alive. I'm not very happy with my current job thou and I'm on my way trying to find something else, it's being a year full of new experiences so far. Let's wait and see what I have reserved.

Mary Bloomy has a strong Art influence as I, Sara, have been passionate about art since I can remember. Every and any kind of art calls for me from sculpture, architecture, painting, drawing, digital, design, special effects and all things surrounding leaving me with great love for amazing artists out there.

Digital art is something else for me, I would love to make it but I just can't spare the time and patience to learn it at this moment so I end up just looking at it!

Extra post today as I am feeling like saying a lot of things about a certain subject. Hopefully you will have some good words for me!

I recently turned 20 and as you may or may not know I live in England since February this year. I am a strong believer that people shall fight for their dreams and I am currently trying to do it myself, but...

I am 20. I have poor work experience as you can expect and believe me or not I have applied for quite a few jobs now. The stigma of 20year old people knowing nothing about life starts irritating me. I for sure know a lot less than my father or my mother, a lot less than my 30 year old friend or a 65year old lady but when those were my age what did they know? More than I do now? It is quite hard to believe as the world is getting easier to know for the past years. I have no experience working in beauty besides on myself and couple of friends so I need and very politely ask for people a chance to prove I can give them a bunch of good things. But they often refuse giving me that opportunity of getting experience, which if happens all the time I am going nowhere in life.

Well, in a world ever so growing of university graduated people I, with a level I can't even classify in England for sure am going to the back of the list. It is good to know people studied but school has never given me experience to go outside and make it work at first attempt, I need the kindness of the people and my ridiculous effort to get a job that may not even be up to my professional expectations, I am talking the minimum here.

Nowadays we learn from home but the thing is the paper still gets the main part in a job, I can be as good as a person who studied but I didn't learn that in school so I have no chances against it in a job appliance, which makes me sad. I don't have the money to go on a makeup course at this moment, I am yes 20 years old but I work to feed myself, pay an absurd amount of money for a house and that's barely it. I don't want to say someone is less or more than me because they have the help of their family to achieve some things in life. I had it myself till now and CHOOSE not to have it from now one. Is a choice that I am proud of and for sure everyone makes their choices based on what they want to achieve for their lives according to their needs and possibilities. I admire people who fight for their dreams no matter what they are! We are talking about life goals. Mine is to work in the makeup world so I am asking for a job that gives me experience where I give them my knowledge back, that for sure is not that little if you think well about it. I learn new things everyday as I am connected to the beauty world more than I even care to admit and didn't need school to make me love it!

20 years of life doesn't mean I know nothing about it, I have studied Arts and Pastry and I've been in the beauty community for 7+ years. I have my own life experience that for sure taught me a whole lot of things that help me on a daily basis as a professional and as a person! Does that make me someone who knows nothing? I am a very interested girl when it takes to things that I like, I spend hours trying to get better at it and find new ways to do it. Does that make me a 20 year old who knows nothing? I don't think so...

This is quite a strong swatch so be light hand when applying this otherwise you'll be shining like a disco ball, which is not very flattering on a daily makeup look! At the price of 18£ it sure isn't cheap but worth every penny you can spend on! As for a cheap alternative I find my Sleek Face Contour Kit Highlighter very similar in texture being a great option for those without the money at this moment. The colour on the pan is not straight up the same but on my skin I don't notice much difference between the two! I kept myself far from this product for too long but don't regret any bit of buying it! It is hands down my favourite highlighter and comes across my mind at that stage pos contour pre blush every and any other day. It's a product for all year, no matter the weather nor season so if you're on a hunt for a good lift up this is your chance!

Worths the hype? For sure it does!

Before I even came to England I for sure had to bring some new bits from Catrice with me, as we are unlucky to have the brand around and don't see a date for it coming near. As per usual I'm always on the top when there are new launches from my favourite brands and the second I spotted this I just knew it had to be mine.

After what seemed like a long time waiting it finally came into my local shop and then home but I couldn't be more disappointed. Yes that's right. Catrice released a product that didn't live to my expectations.

Sad but true here's how it goes. I have loads of single Catrice eyeshadows, more than I care to count and for sure they are all amazing quality, some a bit chalky than the others but other than that they all perform well. But for this palette I find 5 of them are extremely chalky apart from the 4th shade that is overly buttery in a way it falls out like crazy and moves on the pan when I touch it.

With 2 shades of matte, 2 satin and 2 shimmery finish it sounds to be everything we need on the rose department sadly with poor performance. 

Frankie Rose To Hollywood comes in a 6 pan sturdy plastic palette with clear lid, the usual Catrice packaging. It has rose gold letters to the front and a guide to the get a look on the back alongside the ingredients and usual information. 

Which product disappointed you the most?

I sure need to create a post on how I achieve my makeup looks but since I have one talking about my creative process you can find everything you need to know for now in here.

As for the usual part I love me a good forest green shade problem is I always seem to put them aside for no apparent reason. We're right in the middle of summer time where you expect to be wearing all sort of bright colours but we can always find a place for the deep tones! On a night out or an event to match all those Greek Goddesses inspired looks ol' gold is a must!

With my MUA Undress Me Too palette I felt inspired to use the 6th shade of the top row - an old gold colour as I can only describe it! Super intense pigment that contrasts amazingly with that deep green from Sleek Storm palette! On my inner corner I felt the need for some light so Catrice Liquid Metal eyeshadow in 010 made a good point! The lower lash line mimics the top but this time with a Smoky Pencil in 02 by Kiko. As for the waterline my Rimmel Scandaleyes in 005 Nude completed the entire look giving a hint of something without being too much! I think. The mascara I'm using here is the Essence Get Big Lashes Waterproof if you're wondering.

Overall I really like how this look turned out and will for sure wear it a lot this upcoming months!

Not long ago I've started reading a lot more posts about places people visited and somehow found my attention being pulled to certain cities that were not in my 'To Visit' list!

As you may all know I'm Portuguese, I was born and grew up in Porto, north of Portugal, but when I was 10 I moved to the south, a place many of you may know - Algarve! I lived there for 2 years and went in holidays many more after, that to be honest, I'm a bit tired of! Nonetheless Algarve has many amazing places to visit besides the famous beaches! On a day you're not in the mood for a swim in the ocean I highly suggest visiting FIESA!

So here I am, blogging about this day. When back in 2013 I decided to finally give in and try to blog myself. Since then I never stopped... loving what I do! 

I went to a different town, different school, finished a pastry course and am now in London living with my boyfriend. Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes? (I had to do this!)

I can finally say I'm proud of something I've accomplished, I'm known for never finishing my paints, for messing every place I work in and for being a dreamer. I still have lots of dreams but I found a different meaning to life not long ago. 

Blogging has been an amazing part of this rollercoaster that life is ;) I'm so so so grateful for your support, for your lovely comments, for your time! It means the world to me, it means I do something great not just to me. I blog for myself, is my own therapy. Having your support means this is not only a good thing for myself but for you too! It gives me a reason to wake up and face the not so great things in the world out there. So I'm here to thank you for all your love!  Thank you for giving me a reason to believe that life is not black and white, it has some glitter here and there! Thank you for making me keep doing something and not leave it unfinished as I always do! Thank you for keeping me on track, for giving me opportunities, for being what you are - the most amazing thing about Mary Bloomy! 

It has been a pleasure to write this blog, to grow in many areas, to find new passions and make some friends!

While back in the days the nose strips were my favourite thing but I noticed they were damaging my skin more than they should giving me no chance but try something else! As Summer is being generous to us in the UK I sure went for a rather refreshing product so on a trip to Boots I found my attention being pulled towards this particular bottle and for sure it did good things to me! 

On a trip to Westfield I discovered this place called Beauty Base that sells a few brands I can't find anywhere else! The smelling of this shop is quite an annoying mix of fragrances and I can't be there for more than 20 minutes. With that being said I got me a few bits of L.A. Colors as I never tried the brand before.

The Jumbo Eye Pencils come in 24 different colours that I'm not so sure about them selling all in this place so in a quick shopping trip I grab 3 different shades that I knew would make great additions to my makeup collection, or I thought so!

Since I moved my makeup collection has grown quite a bit and I blame Boots and Superdrug deals! I can't help but everytime buy something new to try and always find great things! On the last few weeks I've been organising my makeup collection as I bought a new drawer set from Ikea and found amazing products I haven't given so much love on the few months! 

On an attempt to change that I decided to give these products a spotlight and show myself I'm missing out on leaving them behind! And sure tell you all why they're good buys!
