Kat Von D always surprises with her Holiday collections! This year she launched the stunning Saint & Sinner eyeshadow palette (review coming soon), but also this breathtaking lipstick set!
I've tried her Everlasting liquid lipsticks last year with the shade Double Dare, and fell in love with the formula. It is thin, glides on easily and feels comfortable on the lips, however, if you have to reapply later on the day it may look slightly dryer. I'm ok with it but I know a lot of you don't like to feel the liquid lipstick when it's on, so a heads up for that!
Fall is right upon us and being it my favourite season of the four I must give emphasis to it on my makeup routine. I usually associate Fall with warm tones, dusky pinks, burnt oranges but above all matte everything!
Recently I've visited Wilko in the hopes I would find outstanding home decor (and by that I mean Halloween for some, regular home decor for myself) and stopped by the Essence counter... I came out with 25£ worth of products that I surely didn't need but wanted to try... so here's the summary of what I'm adding to my collection!
I've been taking this project pan seriously for the past few months and I've been able to finish some products I had sitting in my drawers for the longest time.
It just comes to show how much I accumulate and don't use, which is a total waste of money and product once it expires half full.
I'm usually pretty good at decluttering and most the makeup I own is only 2 years old maximum which is a good thing, it means is likely to still be in good condition and gives me more time to use it before it goes bad.
A declutter happened around my beauty stash, I threw away a lot of things (unfortunately) and filled a bag with a lot more to donate to friends. This makes me feel relieved but at the same time guilty for all the things I ended up wasting and for all the money I spent on them... would probably be closer to getting something greater now.
I wanted to mention this in a way of not only sharing my experience and what made me change, but also ask you if you've been through the same and any tips you can give me and everyone else reading to get better at living with less and being happy with it.
By any means I'm becoming a minimalist, I sure know I couldn't do it, but I just want to become more of a conscious buyer. Save for my future and have a less cluttered life.
Liquid lipsticks are still big in the industry and one of my favourite formulas has always been the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks. With a huge range of shades and now different finishes, the comfortable creamy lipstick is easy to apply and stays put all day long with minimal retouch required.
Scents are something personal that somehow define personalities! For the past few months I've been (almost) bathing in the Clean Reserve fragrance in Rain! It is one of my all time favourite scents and I've had plenty of compliments while wearing it which is an amazing bonus!
Smashbox is a brand I definitely want to try more from in the future! I usually never visit their counters but to be fair I haven't tried anything that I don't like from them!
The Always On Liquid Lipsticks are hands down one of my favourite formulas of all time so I kinda had to try more from the lip range they offer.
Coming across a deal like this is almost impossible to resist - 5 lipsticks (1 full size 4 mini) for 29,99£ is just too good to be true... so on my Boots basket it landed!
Kat Von D is one of the brands, if not my favourite brand for makeup! The quality, the art, the originality and consistency is superb! Nothing has ever let me down from her line and the Alchemist Palette couldn't be more perfect!
Alchemist (25£) is the duo chrome holographic palette that comes with 4 different (duo chrome) shades that can be used on the eyes or face for extreme shine and uniqueness.
Dr Dennis Gross is a new brand to my sea of skincare, having not found my favourite cleanser yet I decided to give this one a go.
The All-In-One Cleanser With Toner (25£) is, as the name suggests, a cleanser that will tone the skin while removing all impurities and makeup. It has a gel like consistency that emulsifies once water is added and feels really fresh on the skin. It doesn't need a cloth to be removed so is ideal for when in a rush or in the shower which I like the idea of.
When I first tried Smashbox I didn't think much of it, it was alright certainly not worth the price tag in my mind... but how wrong I was!
Recently I gave another chance to the brand and have grown such love for its new products that I though would be worthy of a spotlight on the blog.
The Body Shop has always been one of my favourites for bath and body but recently I wanted to explore more of their skincare range. Having tried a few of their masks in the past and the Camomile Oil Cleanser I wanted to try more from the range.
Finally I can say I found a bullet proof liquid lipstick formula... and guess what?! It costs a tenner!!
Maybelline Super Stay Matte Inks (9,99£) are not messing around, they did not come to dupe anyone sitting on the luxury chair, they came did their own thing and are staying put... all day long!
It is rare that I publish about fragrance, since I'm way too picky to ever like anything different to what I currently own! This time was different... perfectly combined with Fall vibes, the Kat Von D Saint Eau de Parfum (18£ / 10ml) is my first choice of fragrance when stepping out the house!
A couple months ago I picked up the Real Techniques Brow Set for half price during a Boots sale , which is amazing considering how many things this particular kit includes! Upon trying all the elements of the kit I realised that I love it more than I expected...
