3 Skincare Brands You Must Try & My Recommendations!
09:00:00
It doesn't happen often that skincare becomes a focal point in here, not because I lack knowledge or experience with it, I just don't find it as exciting as makeup for an instance. But I've been told it changes with age so let's put that to the test! In 10 years time hopefully I'll still be writing here and possibly sharing more on the field of "how to prevent fine lines on your 30s"!
For the time being I stick with a simple skincare regiment where the complexity of it is on the 10 different masks I use to do achieve different promised results but when it takes to the basics it only gets exciting when something new arrives to my collection.
My idea for this post is to share 3 brands that I hear no one talk about and I absolutely love! And to add to the fun my number one product from each of them!
Patchology
The concept of this brand is based on products that deliver as many results as possible in the shortest period of time (for the busiest of the women) in a form of a sheet mask!
They offer a varied amount of sheet masks for face, eyes, lips and feet and can be purchased individually or in packs on their website (here)!
So far I've tried the Illuminating and the Hydrating face masks and both gave me instant results of fresh, luminous and hydrated skin within 10 minutes of use. The masks are made out of soft material soaked in product and you leave them for as little as 5 minutes or longer if you wish, once you remove the sheet you pat the remain serum in your skin that instantly absorbs leaving the complexion supple and conditioned.
Having tried those and had a very successful experience, I must admit I'm a huge fan of their Rejuvenating Eye Gels (14£ - 5 Pack)! I first tried them in store on a client previously to a makeover and was blown away by the results it gave only after a few minutes on the skin - puffiness and dryness was visibly reduced helping to create a better canvas for makeup.
The occasion I tried them myself was an odd one! I had had a reaction to some eyeliner I had used on the day being forced to remove my entire makeup, leaving my eye area extremely dry and feeling sore. I popped this on for as little as 10 minutes during my lunch break and was floored by how soothing they were. Love at first use. I could pop makeup on straight away without feeling any sensitivity which is usually impossible when a reaction occurs.
About them being rejuvenating there's little I can say on the field since I don't particularly worry about any of that just yet but they sure are an amazing add on step to your routine when you need a refresh under your eyes or even on the lids! I would say these are particularly amazing in the mornings to help you look awake and refreshed as they contain caffein (adding luminosity and reducing puffiness) and hydrolyzed collagen (improving hydration and elasticity).
Veneffect
A brand created by a gynaecologist and a beauty expert could not come with better results! Two sisters who have a very downsized collection of products that promise to work for all women of all ages and show results!
I must admit this is the only product I've tried so far but girl trust me when I say I've got people hooked on the brand from trying a simple sample... The eye cream and the lip treatment are two of their best selling products for the simple fact they show results quick! It's not the cheapest of the brands but if you want quality you must be prepared to spend.
I have the cleanser in a drawer to try once I finish the pile I'm going through at the moment but what I really wanna tell you about is the Micro-Exfoliant - the best scrub in the world (at least in my humble opinion)!
The Micro-Exfoliant (48£) has ultra fine ground grape seed that helps remove dead skin cells, pomegranate enzymes to exfoliate, amino acids and willow bark to clear the skin and almond extract which helps soothing! I'm usually very sensitive when it takes to physical exfoliators but this one doesn't hurt or irritate my skin! It can be left on as a mask and helps bring back radiance and prevent any breakouts which is always a bonus, while removing dead skin cells and revealing a softer complexion. It works on the deepest of the pores like nothing else I've tried and that's why I can safely say I won't ever be out of this!
Clark's Botanicals
Best known for their Deep Moisture Mask (that I'm dying to try!), Clark's Botanicals is a brand born out of a tragedy that happened to the founder where he suffered a crippling spinal cord injury in a swimming pool diving accident. Dr Clark (the father of the founder, Francesco) developed botanic ally based products that help rebalance the skin, if you wanna learn more about their interesting journey check their website.
Besides the very interesting results it promises, the duality of the Clearing Face and Body Wash (37£) has left me intrigued. It is said to calm the skin while replenishing moisture with Vitamin E, Lavender and Aloe while cleansing it of any impurities with Cucumber Extract, Willow Bark extract and Salicylic Acid as well as balancing with Jasmine Absolute extract.
It is packed with Algae that help to reduce inflammation and redness, so is very gentle for daily use on the face and body, in case you suffer from breakouts elsewhere than your face!
I've only used it on my face and have noticed a huge difference since day one, it has a lovely creamy but non foamy consistency that removes all the makeup leaving my skin cleansed, soft and supple at the same time which is not always easy to achieve! I'm head over heels with this product and for sure will be trying some more from the line!
It is a bigger review than I usually post but I decided it needed to be slightly more informative since these are brands I don't see talked about often and deserve the spotlight. If you've tried anything from the brands mentioned above let me know your experience and what you recommend!
I've noticed as well (and it was definitely not planned) that all of the 3 have a very streamlined selection of products only offering what they believe will work for everyone without complicating or trying to do more products than needed which is always appreciated!
I also feel like I must say this is not a sponsored post but only products I truly love and appreciate the results they deliver for me personally.
